Wau region, Bahr El-Ghazal state, Southern Sudan.\nThousands of people, originaly from Southern Sudan, who used to live in Sudan and particularly in Khartoum city for years are now coming back to their homeland. They are given plots of land to live. They had to stay in transit camps for months before they receive the promised land from the Southern Sudan government. Christina Mario, she was given a Christian name, and her mother arrived in December 2010 in Southen Sudan. They live in a transit camp since then. They have received the plot of land 3 weeks ago and work everyday on it to clear and make this place livable. Her mother expect to send christina to school next year, when she would get some money from her job as field worker. Chrisitna had 7 brothers and sisters but 5 of them died in Khartoum due to different sicknesses.
